William & Mary Linen Press or Entertainment Center

adjustable weaver's loom benches

Our William and Mary linen press is as functional today as it was in years past. It can be used as a traditional linen press or a modern entertainment center (with modifications to the original design).

The case could be made from any premium hardwood, but mahogany and cherry are typical. The inside framework, including all of the drawer runners, are made of a secondary hardwood such as poplar.

The abundant drawers can hold many smaller linens or other items. The large upper cabinet can hold several quilts, bed linens, or other larger items.

We could modify the upper cabinet to function as an entertainment center. The upper doors would fully retract into the upper cabinet.

Ordering, Construction, and Delivery

The ordering process is a series of conversations. We will go over all of the details to ensure we both have a very clear understanding of what you want. It could be a period reproduction or a custom piece.

We will discuss the piece's looks, function, choice of wood, choice of finish and more. We will produce and provide a detailed scaled drawing for your review and approval. At that point we will provide you with a quote, including the expected completion date.

Once we receive your deposit we will place your order into our production schedule. We will let you know when we begin to work on your order and you will receive updates throughout the construction process.

You will receive both electronic and physical samples of the finish for your approval. The finishing process typically takes two weeks, including time for the finish to cure prior to shipping.

The shipping will be through an insured commercial provider. The items will be professional wrapped by them and delivered to a location on the first floor of your home.
